Lovely writing as always, Daphne. I will apply your perspective upon my own move-filled past and see if I can reframe it to better appreciate it for what it was. I'm glad you found Ed, because that let you find our mighty little writing group, and those of us found you as a result.
Great piece, Daphne! Congratulations! I’m so glad you listened to your writer neighbor on 64th and wrote it all down. I love this cast of characters you have encountered and made a part of your communities along the way. They have made your life all the richer, as I’m sure you’ve made theirs.

what a delightful piece, Daphne. finally managed to tear myself away from reading the insanity that has overtaken twitter. i refuse to acknowledge the current owner. ugh. so much lovelier to read about kindness and appreciation for the good and decent folks out there in the world, if only we open our eyes a bit wider. If only we take a few minutes to step outside our passivity, our privilege, and step up to honor them. thank you for your large heart, and your ability to let others know that you see them; genuinely see them radiating who they are. xo

Love this Daphne! You have a gift for describing people in away that makes me feel I met them
What are the chances that Ed would build a place for us????

I think a pretty good chance!!
Congratulations, Daphne! What a wonderful piece.
An inner outer nomad that pitches her tent in new places for new adventures with new people. I like that🌻
