June 11, 18, and 25 from 1:30 to 3 pm EST: How to Write & Pitch Essays for Publication - In this three-week, interactive class, we will explore the keys to writing a personal essay for publication. Through excerpts/examples, we will pinpoint the essential elements writers need to think about when crafting a personal essay for publication. We will also discuss how one story can have multiple angles. Through class sharing and discussion, we will workshop ideas and have an actionable framework for students craft and pitch their essays.
